The ERPsim business simulation game allows players to try out business strategies in a real SAP S/4HANA system and gain valuable experience in the process. SAP S/4HANA is an enterprise management platform from market leader SAP.

Preparation for TS410-Certification
By simulating integrated business processes in ERPsim, participants gain a solid foundation for TS410 certification from SAP. The practical experience gained through the business games helps to understand the complex interdependencies of business processes.
Business Simulation Game with ERPsim on SAP S/4HANA in Your Teaching
The games are developed by the ERPsim Lab at HEC Montréal. The SAP UCC Magdeburg provides access to the SAP S/4HANA system (shared) and the simulator (“ERPsim Admin Console”). A total of 234 teams (separate company codes, including preconfigured SAP users) are available in a client. In addition, 200 further company codes exist for “Configuration Exercises”.
In order to use ERPsim for your teaching, you need a Level-1 certification as a “Certified ERPsim Instructor”, which you receive by participating in a training course.
Teaching materials such as presentations, exercises and learning videos are provided by the ERPsim Lab and can be used for teaching as well as for research.
The product as well as the related teaching materials are only available in English or French in the current release.

… in the logistics game, the focus is on the procurement, distribution and sale of dairy products in the German market. There are four different scenarios:
- Introduction
- simple sales process through automated procurement
- focus on decisions to sell the products
- Extended
- execution of the whole business cycle from the beginning, as the game starts with no initial inventory and the procurement/ replenishment process is not automated
- focus on correctly predicting demand to plan procurement and sales accordingly
- Platinum
- starts simplified as in the introductory scenario
- from round 2 onwards, difficulty is increased as in the extended scenario
- Sustainability
- integrates carbon footprint from different sources, such as transportation & warehousing, represented in form of a carbon tax
- has an impact on company valuation
- customers prefer greener companies

… the production game focuses on the production and sale of cereal on a German market. There are four different scenarios:
- Introduction
- execution of the whole business cycle across the rounds
- first, focus on sales activities
- later, production of cereal boxes is added, as well as planning and procurement of raw materials
- Extended
- execution of the entire business cycle from the beginning, as the game starts with no initial inventory
- increased production capacities and flexibilities (in product composition & investments)
- additional distribution channels
- Advanced
- as in the advanced scenario with additional logistics layer
- product transport to additional warehouses as a preliminary stage to sales
- Sustainability
- integrates carbon footprint from different sources, such as production, transportation and extra warehousing, represented in form of a carbon tax

… the Maple Game (procurement) focuses on the procurement and sales of maple syrup. The syrup is imported from Canada and sold on the German market.
